with Dr. Adele Lafrance
CE credits provided
June 13, 2025• 8am - 3pm MT / 10am - 5pm ET
This virtual training is intended for facilitators of psychedelic medicine and harm reduction, and with a focus on psilocybin and MDMA (though many skills transfer across medicines/settings). With emphasis on practical, skills-based learning, Adele will guide participants through lecture, demonstrations, and experiential practice. Key topics will include (time permitting):
- Practical strategies to optimize set and setting, including working with pre-session anxiety and process-experiential dose determination from a trauma-informed lens
- Responding to challenging emotional states (e.g., resistance, hopelessness and rage/hate)
- Leveraging discomfort and suffering for healing and growth
- In-session facilitator self-care, including communicating boundaries
- Preparing the partner/family/system to optimize outcomes and minimize problematic reactions to change
Participants will be provided with sample resources to support their work. This training welcomes practitioners from varied backgrounds. Basics of psychedelic compounds and psychedelic therapy models will not be covered to leave time and space for practical theory and skill development. Participation can be active or passive. Videos are included and therefore this training will not be recorded.
